On September 16, 2022, an installation and measurement of a steam pipeline using the potential method took place at the Melnik power plant.
The Melnik power plant is an important source of electricity in the Czech Republic. To ensure reliable operation of the power plant, it is necessary to regularly check the condition of all equipment, including steam pipelines.
The installation of a cable bundle with electrodes and subsequent measurement using the potential method of the steam pipeline was necessary to verify the condition of the pipeline weld and ensure its smooth operation. This installation and measurement was carried out in cooperation with the CV REZ team.
The installation of the cable bundle with electrodes went smoothly and the subsequent measurement using the potential method of the steam pipeline provided valuable information about the condition of the weld. Thanks to this work, it was possible to ensure reliable operation of the steam pipeline at the Melnik power plant and minimize the risk of potential accidents.
